Recently ADS travelled to Brisbane for the BPAC competition, and as well as delivering fantastic performance and having loads of fun, we also came away with the following results:

15yrs Jazz Group:  1st Place

15yrs Lyrical Group:  3rd Place

12yrs Jazz Group: VHC

12yrs Song & Dance Group:  2nd Place

10yrs Classical Ballet Group: 2nd Place

10yrs Lyrical Group:  2nd Place

10yrs Jazz Group:  VHC

Paige, Alexa and Caitlin also competed in the BPAC Scholarships- and were all awarded places;

Recently we travelled to Ipswich for our first Academy Dance Studios eisteddfod of 2018 ..

We were so proud of our dancer’s performances at this competition, they represented ADS with style, technique and grace.

Congratulations to our 12yrs group, who were awarded 1st Place for their jazz routine.

Amazing work by everyone 🙂

Congratulations to Academy Dance Studios students, Kate and Sophie, who have been selected to dance with The Queensland Ballet during the Commonwealth Games.

Such an exciting and rewarding experience for these lovely Southport dance students, to share the stage alongside our state ballet company for this amazing performance right here on the Gold Coast.

 

 

 

 

Our Students were so fortunate to have some amazing contemporary dance classes last week with Guest Teacher Mr Yassim. The above clip is of Academy Dance Studios student Caitlin, dancing a contemporary combination alongside Yassim. All of our students were so grateful that Yassim came down to Southport/ Ashmore to share his knowledge with us.

Academy Dance Students are trained to be versatile dancers with a very strong classical base- and they did a great job adapting to Yasim’s unique dance style.

Thanks for travelling to the Gold Cast Mr Yassim!

Congratulations to Academy Dance Studios students POPPY and ALEXA.

Poppy is currently performing alongside other talented Gold Coast dance students in the Spotlight Theatre’s production of OLIVER!

Alexa recently took part in the Ohh La La eisteddfod in Ashmore, and came away with 1st Place for her Lyrical, Jazz, and Demi-Character solos, as well as 2nd Place for her Classical Ballet solo.

We are so proud of our beautiful dancers !!

We are so looking forward to hosting a body conditioning workshop with Rebecca Hall from METHOD X in Brisbane.

What a fantastic way to help get you back into shape for the new dance year.

Rebecca will be travelling down from Brisbane, to work with our dancers and assist them in achieving their best …

This is open to all dancers 10 – 14yrs (outside schools included) and will be held this Sunday February 11th from 9:30 – 11:30a.m at our Southport studios (we are located very close to Ashmore, Bundall, Nerang, etc).  Bookings essential (contact us to book your place).

Due to her exceptional track record in training students to the highest standard, Miss Janece has also been awarded a Life Member of the RAD.

Holly, a Dance Force full time graduate,  has just returned from dancing with Celebrity   Cruises, and has also danced with the Moulin Rogue in Paris.

Holly will also be taking Intermediate jazz on occasion …..
