Congratulations to Academy Dance Studios students, Kate and Sophie, who have been selected to dance with The Queensland Ballet during the Commonwealth Games.

Such an exciting and rewarding experience for these lovely Southport dance students, to share the stage alongside our state ballet company for this amazing performance right here on the Gold Coast.

Our Students were so fortunate to have some amazing contemporary dance classes last week with Guest Teacher Mr Yassim. The above clip is of Academy Dance Studios student Caitlin, dancing a contemporary combination alongside Yassim. All of our students were so grateful that Yassim came down to Southport/ Ashmore to share his knowledge with us.

Academy Dance Students are trained to be versatile dancers with a very strong classical base- and they did a great job adapting to Yasim’s unique dance style.
